Summer Drinks / Juices / Summer Coolers

Beat the heat with some of these coolers....

1. Sunset Island / Pineapple Orange Mocktail:



  • Pineapple Juice - 1 cup
  • Grapefruit Juice(Orange Juice) - 1/2 cup
  • Roohafza (any rose syrup)- 1 tsp
  • Honey - 1/2 tsp
  • Club Soda - 1/4 cup

For Garnishing:

  • Lime wedges
  • Grape wedges


Keep ready all the ingredients.

Mix pineapple juice and grapefruit juice well. 

To this add the honey.


In  the serving glass lightly pour the roohafza .


Above it,add the mixed juice.


Finally pour the club soda just before serving.



Decorate with fruit wedges of your choice.Serve chill and enjoy!


2. Jallab / Arabic Iftar Drink:

Jallab / Grape Dates Cooler/ Arabic Iftar Drink


  • Dates (seedless) - 5 to 6
  • Gapes - 7 to 8
  • Ice water - 2 cup (or you can use ice cubes)
  • Black raisins - 1 tblsp
  • Rose water - 2 tsp 
  • Honey - 1/2 tsp 
For Topping:
  • Cashew nuts
  • Pistachios
  • Almonds
  •  Black Raisins


Keep ready all the ingredients.

Blend together dates, raisins and grapes.

When the dates and raisins forms a smooth paste, add honey.


Then  add rose water and ice water and blend till it become smooth.

After that strain the blended mixture and set aside.

Take a glass and pour the strained blended mixture into the glass and top with few nuts and raisins. Refreshing Jallab drinks is ready to serve.

3. Orange Creamsicle Smoothie:

This creamy, healthy 5 ingredient smoothie tastes like an orange juice and a creamsicle pop combined. Vitamin C has never tasted so good!

Orange Creamsicle Smoothie


  • 2 orange , previously peeled & sliced
  • 5 to 6 dates
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 tblsp sugar


Make sure you remove the seeds of the orange and dates.



On high, blend the dates ,orange,ice cubes yoghurt,sugar and vannila essense together until thick, creamy, and smooth - about 3 minutes. Blend until combined.



Drain with the help of drainer.serve and enjoy...

4. Royal Falooda:



  • Vermicilli - 1/2 cup(boiled)
  • Soaked sabja seeds/sweet basil seeds (soak about ½ tbsp enough water)-2 tblsp
  • Chilled whole milk - 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla ice cream - 2 scoops
  • Rose syrup - 3 tblsp
  • Fruits of your choice - 2 tblsp
  • Cashews or almonds, sliced - 2 tbsp 
  • Golden raisins - 4-5


Soak sabja seeds in water for about 30 to 40 mins. once they swell. drain and then keep aside.

Prepare the vermicilli according to package instructions.

In a glass first add the vermicilli and then add 3 tbsp rose syrup. depending upon your taste you can add less or more.

Then add the sabja seeds add fruits like apple,dates,pomegranate etc.


Pour 1 cup chilled milk to this and top with one scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Garnish with a few raisins and sliced almonds. Serve the falooda immediately.

5. Orange Jello Mocktail:

Orange Jello Mocktail

Ingredients:(For 2 glasses)

  • Orange Crush - 1/2 cup 
  • Vanilla Ice Cream - 3  tblsp (1 scoop)
  • Strawberry jelly cubes - 1/4 cup 
  • Sprite/Dew- 1/4 cup 
  • Orange Fizzy Drink(I used Miranda) - 
    1/4 cup 


Blend the Orange Crush and vanilla ice cream. You can use a hand or electric blender or mixer.

Pour the mixture into a small cocktail glass.
Add the strawberry cubes to the glass.

Use the back of a spoon to add club soda. I have used mountain  dew here. Add another orange fizzy drink in the same method.

Finally add the remaining jelly cubes and serve chilled.

6. Watermelon Orange Lemonade:

Remove seeds of watermelon and orange. 

Blend watermelon, sugar,ice cubes ,lemon juice  and  water in processor or blender until smooth.

Strain the juice and fill the glasses with ice. 

Pour Watermelon Lemonade over and garnish glasses with lemon wedges.

6. Peanut Butter Jelly Milkshake:

Peanut Butter Jelly Milkshake

  • 2 scoop vanila icecream
  • 1 tblsp fruit jam
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice 
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tblsp  peanut butterm
  • 1 tspn crushed almonds


Blend the milk, peanut butter, jelly and ice cream in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a liquid measuring cup and place in the freezer.

Pour peanut butter and jelly mixtures into chilled glasses. 

Top with whipped cream and crushed almond, if desired.


7. Plum Apple Smoothie:

Plum Apple Smoothie

Serving: 2 glass
  • Apple, skinned and chopped- 1 large 
  • Plums - 1
  • Dates, pitted- 3 no’s
  • Condensed milk- 3 tbsp
  • Vanilla extract- 1 tsp
  • Cold milk, skim- 1/2 cup


Keep ready all the ingredients.

In a blender puree all the ingredients to a smooth constituency.

Pour into a glass along with ice or without ice.

Sip and enjoy this yummy creamy smoothie.
