Kadai Chicken



Kadai Chicken/Kadai Murg






Ingredients:



  • Chicken - 1/2 kg
  • Onion - 2 finely chopped
  • Tomato - 2 medium sized
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tblsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 2 tblsp
  • Red chilly powder - 1.tblsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Fresh Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp chopped finely
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Cloves -2
  • Cardamom - 2
  • Cinnamon  stick - 1/2


To roast and grind :

  • Coriander seeds  – 1 tblsp
  • Red Chilies – 2
  • Cardamom – 2 no
  • Cloves – 2 no
  • Bay leaves – 1
  • Cinnamon – 1/2 stick
  • Nutmeg – ½ piece
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 Tsp
  • Black Pepper – 1 Tsp


Method:


Dry roast the ingredients listed under 'to roast & grind' to golden brown then grind it to a semi coarse powder,Set aside.


             


                                              









Heat oil in a kadai and add whole garam masalas,ginger-garlic paste and slit green chillies .




Then add onion and once the it turns golden brown add tomato pieces and stir fry for 2 minutes.





Mix well and let it cook till raw smell of tomato goes off.Add required salt...Then add masalas and saute for 3 mins..Then add chicken pieces
.










Add required amount of water and add coriander leaves..Finally add the ground powder and cook for 5 min and switch off.








Our kadai chicken is ready. Serve hot and enjoy......
